Financial Literacy

Our Curriculum

The Rae’s Hope curriculum teaches the basic skills involved with earning, spending, saving, budgeting, and investing money. Rae’s Hope is teaching young girls at an early age how to earn, spend, and invest money. In addition, the girls learn how to make appropriate buying decisions by distinguishing between wants and needs, managing a budget, and building savings.

Through workshops given by our instructors, non-profits, and volunteers, girls are exposed to financial literacy skills. They learn about entrepreneurship as well as jobs and careers in the field of finance. Board games that involve monetary exchange, such as Monopoly, allow the girls to apply their knowledge. Their participation in discussions about financial literacy becomes an opportunity to develop their comprehension and communication skills. In addition, the program offers specialized speakers from various professional backgrounds who share their experiences and knowledge with the girls.
